Our winery is the second bioclimatic winery ever built in Greece, and the first in Naoussa.
It didn’t start as a business plan, but as a vision — born from the postgraduate dissertation of civil engineer Spyros Argyrakis, who set out to prove that a winery could function year-round with minimal environmental impact, using natural systems rather than mechanical ones.
Northern wind, natural cooling
The building was designed to follow the wind. Cool northern breezes are channeled through passive ventilation shafts, reducing the need for mechanical HVAC systems by up to 70%. Nature is our built-in air conditioner.
Thermal armor, year-round Triple-layered walls (U ≤ 0.18 W/m²K), low-emissivity glazing, and reflective wall surfaces act as a shield against heat. Indoor temperatures stay cool and consistent—even in the height of summer.
Smart energy recovery. All domestic hot water comes from solar thermal panels. Motion-sensor LED lighting reduces unnecessary consumption by up to 75%, keeping auxiliary use to a minimum.
The result:
Net-positive energy since 2018, zero fossil fuels, and running costs paid back in three years.
Our Vision
Greener Than the Vines Themselves
We believe a winery should be more than a building. It should be a silent co‑winemaker: guiding the wine with sunlight, fresh air, and humility instead of compressors and diesel.
Climate change is already reshaping our vineyards. Our response is to create wines that protect the place they come from — not just in spirit, but in measurable, real-world impact.
Every bottle we produce leaves a trace of flavor, not a footprint. Every choice we make — from solar energy to water reuse — is grounded in one principle: make wine that gives more than it takes.
