VINEYARD

OUR

The soul of our winery does not live within its walls.

It lives outside

Where vine roots reach deep into the earth where nothing stands still and everything moves with purpose. It’s here that stories are born.

They slip past thyme, sage, and wild herbs that blanket the slopes of mythic Mount Vermio.

At its foot stretches our vineyard, crossed every day by that same mountain breeze—now part of its own story.

Mount Vermio is more than a skyline; it is our silent partner.

It casts shade in the hottest hours, delivers night-time cool, and regulates the pace at which our grapes ripen. From this deep coexistence comes balance—and with it, our identity.

Climate

Mount Vermio sets the rhythm

Every afternoon, a cool current descends from the forests of Mount Vermio and drifts over the vineyard.

This nightly breath slows ripening, extends the growing season, and enhances the acidity and aromatic intensity of Xinomavro.

Vermio is not merely a mountain on the horizon; it is our silent companion.

It casts its shadow during the hottest hours, brings the coolness of the night, and sets the rhythm by which our grapes mature. From this deep coexistence is born balance and from it, our identity.
Από αυτή τη βαθιά συνύπαρξη γεννιέται η ισορροπία κι από αυτήν, η ταυτότητά μας.

OUR VINES

Our vineyards stretch across the area of Trilofos, Naoussa, at the very edge of the PDO zone, covering a total of 5 hectares. The vines were planted between 1978 and 1979, carrying with them decades of history and balance rooted deep in the soil.

The planting lines are spaced 1.30 meters apart, encouraging gentle competition between the vines and resulting in low yields of grapes with remarkable concentration and complexity.

The soil of the vineyard is sandy-clay-loam in composition, offering excellent drainage and naturally limiting vine vigor factors that contribute to the production of fruit with intensity, purity, and depth of flavo

BASKATER THE SOUL OF OUR VINEYARD

In the Baskater area of Trilofos lies the soul of our vineyard.

A small piece of land, 1.3 hectares in size, planted exclusively with 47-year-old Xinomavro vines. These old vines represent the most authentic part of our history and the very heart of our winemaking identity.

The vineyard is located at the foot of a hill, where the area’s unique microclimate contributes to the development of complex and balanced fruit. The shade that falls early in the summer afternoons, combined with the southeast-facing slope, creates ideal conditions of coolness and natural temperature balance.

As the afternoon approaches, a cool breeze descends from the hill and sweeps through the vineyard, acting as natural ventilation. This wind, passing through the wild vegetation of the nearby forest, carries with it herbal and earthy aromas, imparting a distinctive aromatic signature to the Xinomavro.

The gentle slope of the terrain ensures excellent drainage of rainwater, reducing humidity and helping the vines remain healthy, focusing their strength on the fruit.

It is a vineyard where nature, light, and air coexist in perfect harmony. From this vineyard, in exceptional years, we craft the Chronos series.
